How to use my tarot readings?
We always encounter difficulties in life.
We are not always sure what to do.
We don't always have someone to turn to for advice or help.
Sometimes, it is just for the fun of it.
I like to do regular readings for myself, have an idea as to how the week is going to pan out, or a particular day.
I always do a yearly reading to get an idea on how my year is going to be.
It is not about predicting the future.
I won't tell you how many children you are going to have, or who your true love is going to be.
But I will be able to bring you clarity as to how to make a better decision, which path to choose, what to look out for, or even at times how you are going to be likely to feel or think at a certain time.
With my readings I give clear advice on life, at all levels, whether it be on a body, or mind level, guidance about your love life or your carreer...
I find my readings to be an amazing tool for knowing yourself better, as they will drive you to look within yourself, some times more than others, and they tend to challenge you to be truely honest to yourself about life, yourself, and what you want and/or need out of life.

The Tarot of Metamorphosis

Tarot of Metamorphosis Review
Summary:
We are constantly going through various changes in our lives, but for the most part, that are beyond our conscious awareness and control. The Tarot of Metamorphosis aims to change this. Following the traditional RWS design, the surreal and mangaesque art opens us to understand and even encourage the positive changes. As such, this deck is a powerful tool for the experienced Tarot practitioner. It is especially good for meditation and personal spiritual evolutionary work.
Review
Today, when most people consider the Tarot, they focus on its function for divination or "fortune telling." While that certainly is a valid and important use of the Tarot, to see it only for that purpose misses the point that has helped to make the Tarot increasingly popular. The Tarot can do far more than simply help you see the changes that will come in your life, they can also help you change and evolve. They can allow you to direct your inner change, increasing the personal transformation where desired, and give ways to overcome or at least ameliorate unwanted changes. It has been said that the "only constant is change." The Tarot can help to put you in control of that change.
Unfortunately, in most cases, the rather static images of the Tarot leave most people wondering as to the meanings of the cards in their lives. The Tarot of Metamorphosis finally makes this concept of personal evolution more obvious, and it does so in a "fantastic" manner.
In my statement above, I’m not using "fantastic" as hyperbole. Rather, I’m describing the artwork itself. It seems to combine the comic fantasy art exemplified in Japanese managa with surrealism and the "sexy robots" of Sorayama. More importantly, every card clearly and artistically indicates the very concept of evolution, change, or metamorphosis.
Slightly fan out the cards face up and the first thing you’ll note is that the white border that surrounds each card is divided by a horizontal swath of yellow, indicating the movement from one side of the card to the other. Virtually every card shows a person, creature or thing changing from one thing into another. But what are these changes?

How I became a tarot reader:
Hi. I figured I would tell you how I got into tarot reading. I am French. And when it was time for me to do revisions for the Bacalaureat, our end of highschool exams, I was instead learning tarot cards from my basic Tarot de Marseille deck and book. Needless to say I did not do so well with my exams but it turns out I never used my Bacalaureat certificate and I now daily use the tarot cards :)
Once at Uni, I started looking into Runes. I got myself a set of Runes and a book. I had great fun too until I did a reading to one of my friends using these amazing tiles, but she was not ready to hear what the tiles suggested as answer to her query. She then went into a downward spiral from which she never came out for a long time. Although I knew she was still my friend she could not bear to see me as I was reminding her of the experience. She failed to attend her uni end of the year exams. I felt so guilty and so bad that I left it all behind. The tarot cards, the runes...
Looking back I can clearly see that it all had nothing to do with me. The runes were a trigger to something much deeper. But at least it made me realise how important the readings are and how when doing a reading for someoone, it can have a very deep reach and meaning regardless of the intent I put into it. And so therefore the readings are not just about what the cards have to say but also about guidance on how to use the information provided in the readings.
I did not look back at my tarot cards for quite a few years. Then I went, probably about 5 years ago, to a body, mind and spirit event and ended up buying a deck of rider waite tarot cards. This is the basic tarot cards deck based on the Tarot de Marseille, with 78 cards including major arcanas and minor arcanas. So, for fun I would look at books for cards meanings and would try to memorise them.
At first, it was just for fun, but then things started to happen that really scared me at first but that eventually showed me a new path in life. Bearing in mind that my skills were really basic at the time, i picked one card for my husband to see how his day went. I picked The Tower, which I interpreted as: something negative happened in your day that disrupted it all. When he got home our conversation kind of went like this:
Him: - hi
Me: - hi. You had a bad day, didn't you?
Him, confused: - Yes, how did you know?
Me: I picked a card and this is what I read into it. Did something happen that disrupted your whole day?
Him even more confused:- Yes... My scanner broke down so I had to reccord all the parcels and deliver them manually, it was really hectic (He is a courier driver who has a time stamp for each parcel and cannot be late for each of the deliveries + or - 5 minutes and 60+ parcels to deliver daily).
He was well spooked and me too for I did not expect to be this accurate. But also I started to become really excited about my readings. So, I started to do more. One of my friends was about to give birth and I picked a single card which I interpreted as: the birth will require hard work, will not be smooth going but it will have a positive outcome. And it turns out the mum and child were both great but she had to have a caesarean.
Do you ever do readings yourself? Tarot cards? Oracle cards? Runes? Have you been able to see a connection between your readings and you life and your friends' life?
This is how my interest for the tarot cards was renewed. I started to read more regularly to people and also started my facebook page Cosmic Twist Tarot.
